DESCRIPTION

If the front recognition camera is obstructed such as when the front windshield glass or forward recognition camera lens is dirty, the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH stores DTC B2438.

Note


  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced or removed and installed, be sure to perform adjustment of the forward recognition camera.

  • If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AHS / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs.


      Body Electrical > AHS > Clear DTCs
      Result

  2. CHECK FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA OPERATING CONDITIONS


    1. Check that the front recognition camera is not obstructed due to foreign matter on the front windshield glass or forward recognition camera lens.

      The forward recognition camera is not obstructed by foreign matter on the front windshield glass or forward recognition camera lens.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AHS / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.


      Body Electrical > AHS > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC B2438 is not output.

  4. REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA


    1. Replace the forward recognition camera.
