LIGHTING SYSTEM Hazard Warning Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly (meter circuit plate) receives the hazard warning signal switch assembly on signal and controls the operation of the hazard warning lights.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

      OFF: Hazard warning signal switch off

      ON: Hazard warning signal switch on

  2. INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the hazard warning signal switch assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (METER CIRCUIT PLATE) AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the I7 combination meter assembly (meter circuit plate) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V1-5 (TB) - I7-10 (HAZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      V1-5 (TB) or I7-10 (HAZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      V1-4 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
