DESCRIPTION

If a headlight unit high beam output abnormal signal from the headlight unit is detected by the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH, DTC B243B and B243C are stored.

Note

If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AHS / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs.


      Body Electrical > AHS > Clear DTCs
      Result
      Proceed to

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Operate the light control switch to turn on the high beam headlights.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AHS / Trouble Codes.

    6. Check for DTCs.


      Body Electrical > AHS > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC B243B and B243C are not output.

    1. Remove the headlight assembly LH.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Replace the headlight unit LH with a new or known good one.
