DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH receives signals indicating direction and amount the steering is turned from the steering sensor using CAN communication. The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH stores DTC B2414.

Note


  • The lighting system uses the CAN communication system. Inspect the communication functions by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the lighting system after confirming that the communication systems are functioning properly.

  • If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling*1 or AHS*2 / Trouble Codes.


      • *1: w/o Adaptive High Beam System

      • *2: w/ Adaptive High Beam System

    5. Clear the DTCs.


      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs
      Body Electrical > AHS > Clear DTCs

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling*1 or AHS*2 / Trouble Codes.


      • *1: w/o Adaptive High Beam System

      • *2: w/ Adaptive High Beam System

    5. Check for DTCs.


      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes
      Body Electrical > AHS > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC B2414 is not output.

  3. REPLACE STEERING SENSOR


    1. Replace the steering sensor with a new or known good one.
