HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH (for LHD)

   Click here

2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH (for RHD)

   Click here

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for LHD)

   Click here

4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH (for RHD)

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

5. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

   Click here

6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Disconnect the connector.

   2. 

      *a	Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the hood lock nut cap.

   3. 

      *1	Hood Lock Bolt

      Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

   4. 

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly to remove the hood lock assembly.

7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

8. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Click here

9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly to remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    
    

    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 clamps and grommet as shown in the illustration.

       

       *1	Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly	-	-
       *a	Clamp	*b	Grommet

       Tech Tips

       Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment to remove it.

11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    
    

    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 clamps and grommet as shown in the illustration.

       

       *1	Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly	-	-
       *a	Clamp	*b	Grommet

       Tech Tips

       Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment to remove it.
