ELECTRIC EXPANSION VALVE (COOLING) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

    for HFC-134a (R134a):

  2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for LHD)

    Click here

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for RHD)

    Click here

  5. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE

    Click here

  6. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT LH

    Click here

  7. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE MAGNET VALVE BRACKET


    1. for LHD:


      1. A003OPK

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp and claw.

    2. for RHD:


      1. A003LO1

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp and claw.

    3. A003JYH

      Remove the 2 bolts and magnet valve bracket.

  9. REMOVE ELECTRIC EXPANSION VALVE (COOLING)


    1. A003KXG

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disconnect the discharge tube J and discharge tube G to remove the electric expansion valve (cooling).

    3. Remove the 2 O-rings from the discharge tube J and discharge tube G.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
