AIR CONDITIONING ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY (MIDDLE PRESSURE MAGNETIC VALVE)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    3. Press the AUTO switch.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Utility / Middle Differential Pressure Valve State Check.


      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Utility
      Tester Display
      Middle Differential Pressure Valve State Check
      OK
      Check that "Middle Differential Pressure Valve State Check is Complete. The state is normal." is displayed.

  2. INSPECT NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY (ELECTRIC EXPANSION VALVE (HEATING))

    Note

    Check that DTC B1384 is not stored.


    1. Install a manifold gauge set.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Active Test.

    6. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Heating Electric Expansion Valve No. 1 air conditioning accessory assembly (electric expansion valve (heating))

      Min.: 0%

      Max.: 100%

      Perform this test when the following conditions are met:


      • Operates between 5 to 100%

      • Power switch on (READY)

      • A/C switch: OFF

      • EV mode

      • Blower speed: HI

      • Driver side set temperature: MAX HOT

      • Ambient temperature: 10 to 25°C (50 to 77°F)

      • Engine coolant temperature: Below 40°C (104°F)

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Active Test
      Tester Display
      Heating Electric Expansion Valve
      OK
      Read the gauge of the manifold gauge set and check that the value is changing.
