DESCRIPTION

The air conditioning amplifier assembly and air conditioning thermistor assembly communicate via LIN communication.

The air conditioning amplifier assembly stores this DTC if communication becomes abnormal.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

Tech Tips

The air conditioning thermistor assembly must be replaced if the glass temperature sensor is malfunctioning.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY - IG POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the O1 air conditioning thermistor assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O1-4 (SIG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      O1-4 (SIG) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      O1-2 (ES) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - AIR CONDITIONING THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the O1 air conditioning thermistor assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I61 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O1-3 (MPX) - I61-15 (SCLI) Always Below 1 Ω
      O1-3 (MPX) or I61-15 (SCLI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
