AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM CHECK MODE PROCEDURE


  1. REFRIGERANT SHORTAGE CHECK IN NORMAL OPERATION (CHECK A/C SWITCH INDICATOR AND DTC)


    1. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    2. Check that the A/C switch indicator remains on when the following conditions are met.

      A003OQUC01
      *A for LHD (for Dual Type) *B for RHD
      *C for LHD (for Single Type) - -
      Measurement Condition:
      Item Condition
      A/C switch On
      A/C operation time 5 minutes or more
      Ambient temperature* 12 to 34°C (54 to 93°F)
      Temperature setting MAX COLD
      Recirculation/fresh switch FRESH
      Blower speed HI

      *: If the ambient temperature is not within the range shown, do not perform this check.

      Tech Tips

      The A/C switch indicator and air conditioning system turn off if the amount of refrigerant in the system is insufficient.

    3. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    4. Check for DTC B14B8.
