DESCRIPTION

The air conditioning amplifier assembly communicates with the windshield wiper relay assembly, windshield wiper relay assembly and air conditioning thermistor assembly via LIN communication.

If a malfunction occurs in the LIN communication line and a communication error occurs, this DTC is stored.

Tech Tips

The air conditioning thermistor assembly must be replaced if the glass temperature sensor is malfunctioning.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - AIR CONDITIONING THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY, WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the I61 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O1 air conditioning thermistor assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the I46 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I61-15 (SCLI) - O1-3 (MPX) Always Below 1 Ω
      I61-15 (SCLI) or O1-3 (MPX) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Reconnect the I61 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Reconnect the O1 air conditioning thermistor assembly connector.

    3. Check for DTCs.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Reconnect the I46 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O1 air conditioning thermistor assembly connector.

    3. Check for DTCs.
