DESCRIPTION

The air conditioning amplifier assembly and windshield wiper relay assembly communicate via LIN communication.

The air conditioning amplifier assembly stores this DTC if communication becomes abnormal.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY - IG POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the I46 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I46-16 (WIG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      I46-16 (WIG) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      I46-12 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the I46 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I61 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I46-14 (MPX1) - I61-15 (SCLI) Always Below 1 Ω
      I46-14 (MPX1) or I61-15 (SCLI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
