AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM UTILITY


  1. REFRIGERANT FILLING MODE

    Before charging the air conditioning system with refrigerant, enter refrigerant filling mode.

    Note


    • DTC B14BD may be stored if the air conditioning system is charged with refrigerant when the specified conditions are not met. If DTC B14BD has been stored, evacuate the air conditioning system and enter refrigerant filling mode before charging the air conditioning system with refrigerant.

    • Make sure to turn the power switch off after refrigerant filling mode has ended.

    Tech Tips

    If the air conditioning system cannot be charged with the specified amount of refrigerant, perform the refrigerant filling mode.


    1. Entering refrigerant filling mode when not using the GTS:


      1. Turn the power switch off.

      2. Turn the power switch on (ACC) and wait for the navigation screen to be displayed.

      3. Turn the power switch on (READY) and press the air conditioning control assembly recirculation/fresh and S-FLOW switches simultaneously within 5 seconds.

      4. Set the vehicle so that the following conditions are met.

      5. Entering refrigerant filling mode when using the GTS:


        1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

        2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

        3. Set the vehicle so that the following conditions are met.

      6. Turn the GTS on.

      7. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Utility / Refrigerant Filling Mode.


        Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Utility

  • MIDDLE DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE VALVE STATE CHECK

    Perform the middle differential pressure valve state check and judge its status. After charging the air conditioning system with refrigerant, perform the Active Test "Middle Pressure Magnetic Valve" to open the No. 1 air conditioning accessory assembly (middle pressure magnetic valve) and allow the refrigerant to flow into the internal circuit.


    1. Entering middle differential pressure valve state check when not using the GTS:


      1. Press the AUTO switch.

      2. Turn the power switch off.

      3. Turn the power switch on (ACC) and wait for the navigation screen to be displayed.

      4. Turn the power switch on (READY) and press the air conditioning control assembly AUTO and S-FLOW switches simultaneously within 5 seconds.

    2. Entering middle differential pressure valve state check when using the GTS:


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

      3. Press the AUTO switch.

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Utility / Middle Differential Pressure Valve State Check.
