AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. OPERATION CHECK OF REMOTE A/C SWITCH ON THE ELECTRICAL KEY TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips


    • The remote air conditioning system wi'll not operate unless the required operating conditions are met. Therefore, confirm that the operating conditions are met before performing the inspection.

    • Set the vehicle so that the following conditions are met before performing an operation check.

      Measurement Condition
      Item Condition
      Blower speed HI
      Temperature setting MAX COLD
      Ambient temperature 0°C (32°F) or more

    1. Activation Control Check


      1. Press and hold the remote A/C switch on the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly for 0.8 seconds or more to start the air conditioning system.

        Tech Tips

        The wireless door lock system locks all doors before the remote air conditioning system is activated.

    2. Stop Control Check


      1. Press the remote A/C switch on the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly twice briefly within 3 seconds to stop the remote air conditioning system.

        Tech Tips


        • If any of the operating conditions are no longer met while the remote air conditioning system is operating, the remote air conditioning system will stop.

        • When 10 minutes have elapsed after the remote air conditioning system was started, the remote air conditioning system will stop. Depending on the operating conditions, the remote air conditioning system may stop before 10 minutes elapse.

    3. Remote A/C switch on electrical key transmitter sub-assembly operation check

      Note

      Confirm that the wireless door lock functions operate normally.


      1. Operate the remote A/C switch on electrical key transmitter sub-assembly check that the remote air conditioning system can be started.

        Tech Tips

        If the remote air conditioning system cannot be operated started using the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly, the remote air conditioning system may be malfunctioning.

      1. Operate the smartphone and check that the remote air conditioning system can be started.

        Tech Tips


        • Set the temperature to MAX COLD.

        • When the remote air conditioning system is started, the result will be sent to the smartphone.

    2. Stop Control Check


      1. Operate the smartphone and check that the remote air conditioning system can be stopped.
