PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT)

    Component without harness connected

    (Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly (Driver Seat))

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 2 Driver side seat belt unfastened Below 1 Ω
      3 - 2 Driver side seat belt fastened 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly (driver seat).

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT)

    (Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly (Front Passenger Seat))

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N85-3 - N85-2 Front passenger side seat belt unfastened Below 1 Ω
      Front passenger side seat belt fastened 10 kΩ or higher
      N85-5 - B-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      N85-4 - B-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N89-3 - N89-2 Front passenger side seat belt unfastened Below 1 Ω
      Front passenger side seat belt fastened 10 kΩ or higher
      N89-5 - B-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      N89-4 - B-3 Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly (front passenger seat).
