REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)


    1. Remove the rear seat headrest assembly.

  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)


    1. Remove the rear seat headrest assembly.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Fold the rear seatback assembly LH forward.

      *a Fastener

      Disengage the 2 fasteners.

    3. A003K8V

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear seatback assembly LH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK HINGE COVER


    1. Fold the rear seatback assembly RH forward.

    2. A003MFO

      Disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear seatback hinge cover.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

    Note

    To prevent the damage to the damper, do not subject it to strong impacts or apply excessive force to the damper such as by leaning on the rear seatback assembly RH.

      *a Fastener

      Disengage the fastener.

    2. A003LDQ

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear seatback assembly RH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH

      *a Outer Side Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook
      B006J86 Place Hand Here
      B006IFV Remove in this Direction

      Lift the outer edge of the rear seat cushion assembly LH as shown in the illustration and disengage the rear seat cushion frame hook on the outer side of the rear seat cushion assembly LH from the rear seat cushion lock hook.

      Note

      Be sure to hold the parts of the seat cushion assembly directly next to the rear seat cushion frame hook when lifting it. Lifting a different part of the cushion may deform the rear seat cushion frame.

      *a Front Side Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook
      *b Rear Side Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook
      B006J86 Place Hand Here
      B006IFV Remove in this Direction (1)
      B006IV0 Remove in this Direction (2)

      Lift the front edge of the rear seat cushion assembly LH as shown in the illustration and disengage the rear seat cushion frame hook on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly LH from the rear seat cushion lock hook.

      Note

      Be sure to hold the parts of the seat cushion assembly directly next to the rear seat cushion frame hook when lifting it. Lifting a different part of the cushion may deform the rear seat cushion frame.

      Standard Measurement
      Area Measurement
      A 135 mm (5.31 in.)

    3. Disengage the rear seat cushion frame hook on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration and remove the rear seat cushion assembly LH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

      Disengage the 4 claws to remove the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
