METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Washer Fluid Level Warning Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly (meter circuit plate) and level warning switch assembly are connected via direct line. The combination meter assembly (meter circuit plate) determines the washer fluid level and outputs warning messages according to the washer fluid level warning switch ON/OFF signal.

Note

When replacing the combination meter assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a combination meter assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the level warning switch assembly.

    2. Inspect the level warning switch assembly.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (METER CIRCUIT PLATE) AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the I6 combination meter assembly (meter circuit plate) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A25-1 (S) - I6-16 (WLVL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A25-1 (S) or I6-16 (WLVL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A25-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
