PERSONAL LIGHT INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Map Light Assembly)

      Inspect the map light LH and map light RH.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check that the map light LH and map light RH come on.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 1 (+B1)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 8 (GND9)

        		 Interior light door switch OFF and map light switch LH on Map light LH comes on
        Interior light door switch OFF and map light switch RH on Map light RH comes on
        Map light switch LH and map light switch RH off and interior light door switch ON Map light LH and map light RH come on

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 1 (+B1)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 7 (DOOR)

        		 Map light switch LH and map light switch RH off and interior light door switch DOOR Map light LH and map light RH come on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or map light assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      5 (RLMP) - 7 (DOOR) Interior light door switch DOOR Below 1 Ω
      5 (RLMP) - 8 (GND9) Interior light door switch ON Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly.

    3. Inspect the switch illumination and shift lever illumination.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check that the switch illumination and shift lever illumination come on.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 3 (ILLB)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 6 (LILL)

        		 Always Switch illumination and shift lever illumination come on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly.
