LIGHTING SYSTEM Back Door Courtesy Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives a back door open/closed signal from back door lock assembly (back door courtesy light switch).

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

  2. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (BACK DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)


    1. Remove the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy light switch).

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (BACK DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH) - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the 3H instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R14-3 (D+) - 3H-34 Always Below 1 Ω
      R14-3 (D+) or 3H-34 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R14-2 (ACT-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
