DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stops for 10 seconds or more.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • When a power window regulator motor assembly is replaced or removed and reinstalled, it requires initialization.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs

    2. Recheck for DTCs.


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes

      DTC B1206 and B2321 are output simultaneously B

      Tech Tips

      When DTC B1206 and B2321 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B1206 first.

      Remove the multiplex network master switch assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Driver Door))


    1. for LHD


      1. Disconnect the K2 power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Note

        Make sure that each ECU is in sleep mode before performing the inspection. To enter sleep mode, turn the power switch from on (IG) to off and wait for 180 seconds or more without operating any switches.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        K7-16 (LIN2) - K2-9 (LIN) Power Switch off Below 1 Ω
        K7-16 (LIN2) or K2-9 (LIN) - Body ground Power Switch off 10 kΩ or higher

    2. for RHD


      1. Disconnect the J2 power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Note

        Make sure that each ECU is in sleep mode before performing the inspection. To enter sleep mode, turn the power switch from on (IG) to off and wait for 180 seconds or more without operating any switches.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        J7-16 (LIN2) - J2-9 (LIN) Power Switch off Below 1 Ω
        J7-16 (LIN2) or J2-9 (LIN) - Body ground Power Switch off 10 kΩ or higher

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
