DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU communicates with the battery state sensor assembly via LIN communication. If a LIN communication error is detected, the hybrid vehicle control ECU stores this DTC.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION CONDITION


    1. Check installation condition of the battery state sensor assembly.

    INSTALL THE BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)


    1. Check that the battery state sensor assembly connector is securely connected.

      OK
      The connector is securely connected.

    2. Disconnect the C19 battery state sensor assembly connector.

    3. Check the connector case and terminals for deformation or corrosion.

      OK
      No deformation or corrosion.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A41 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the C19 battery state sensor assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the C12 compressor with motor assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A41-8 (LIN3) - C19-2 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)

      C19-2(LIN), A41-8 (LIN3) or C12-3 (DOUT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CLEAR DTCS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs, and note down any DTCs that are output.

    6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    7. Clear the DTCs.

    8. Turn the power switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more.

  5. CLEAR DTCS (AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM)


    1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Trouble Codes.

    2. Check for DTCs, and note down any DTCs that are output.

    3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Trouble Codes.

    4. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Clear DTCs

    5. Turn the power switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more.

  6. CHECK FOR DTCS


    1. Turn the power switch on (READY) and wait for 17 minutes or more.

    2. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    3. Check for DTCs.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check for DTCs when the following conditions are met.
