Note

  • When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor system is turned on.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK RCTA BUZZER (BLIND SPOT MONITOR BUZZER)

    1. Check that the RCTA buzzer (blind pot monitor buzzer) sounds when the initial check is performed.

  2. CHECK DTC

    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RCTA BUZZER - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH)

    1. Disconnect the N52*1 or N53*2 RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) connector.

      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage (for LHD)
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
N52-1 (BZP) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      N52-2 (BZN) - Body ground Below 1 V
      N52-2 (BZN) - N52-1 (BZP) Below 1 V
      Standard Voltage (for RHD)
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
N53-1 (BZP) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      N53-2 (BZN) - Body ground Below 1 V
