SIMPLE INTELLIGENT PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the S-IPA switch is turned on, a signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU assembly. The simple intelligent parking assist system operates according to this signal.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (ADVANCED PARKING GUIDANCE SWITCH)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch to (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar / Data List / IPA Switch.

    5. Read the value when the S-IPA switch is pressed.


      Body Electrical > IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar > Data List
      Tester Display Measurement Item Normal Condition
      IPA Switch S-IPA switch signal

      ON: S-IPA switch on

      OFF: S-IPA switch off

      NG

  2. INSPECT S-IPA SWITCH


    1. Remove the S-IPA switch.

      Click here

    2. Inspect the S-IPA switch.

      Click here

      OK
      S-IPA switch is normal.
      Result
      Proceed to

    NG

    REPLACE S-APGS SWITCH Click here

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (S-IPA SWITCH - AUXILIARY BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the I12 S-IPA switch connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I12-5 (IG) -Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Power switch off Below 1 V
      Result

      NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (S-IPA SWITCH - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the I12 S-IPA switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the I28 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I12-7 (E) - I28-29 (ISSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      I12-7 (E) or I28-29 (ISSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
