BLIND SPOT MONITOR SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1ABE

DTC Code DTC Name
C1ABE Short to GND or Open in Buzzer

DESCRIPTION

DTC C1ABE is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects a ground short or open in the RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) circuit.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1ABE Short to GND or Open in Buzzer

Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor system is on.

  • The current flowing to the buzzer is below a specified value when buzzer operation voltage is being sent to the buzzer.

Note

  • When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor system is turned on.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK DTC

    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes
      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RCTA BUZZER - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH AND AUXILIARY BATTERY)

    1. Disconnect the N52*1 or N53*2 RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) connector.

      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    2. Disconnect the N51 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (for LHD)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N52-2 (BZN) - N51-3 (BUZ) Always Below 1 Ω
N52-2 (BZN) or N51-3 (BUZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
