DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the clearance warning ECU assembly receives a signal via CAN communication from the steering sensor that indicates an internal malfunction.

Note


  • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

PROCEDURE


  1. REPLACE STEERING SENSOR


    1. Replace the steering sensor with a new or known good one.

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Using the GTS, check for DTCs according to the prompts on the screen.

      After turning the power switch from off to on (IG), wait 4 seconds or more before


      Body Electrical > IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar > Trouble Codes
    2. Clear the DTCs according to the screen on the GTS.

    3. Recheck for DTCs.
