ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1259, C1310

DTC Code DTC Name
C1259 HV Control System Regenerative Malfunction
C1310 HV System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) communicates with the hybrid vehicle control ECU and controls braking force according to the motor's regenerative force.

The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) sends VSC+/VSC and cooperative control with EPS signals to the hybrid vehicle control ECU and receives operating signals from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) uses CAN communication for communicating with the hybrid vehicle control ECU. If a communication malfunction is detected, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) prohibits VSC+/VSC and cooperative control with EPS operation and part of the electronically controlled brake system control as a fail-safe function.

If the signals from the hybrid vehicle control ECU return to normal, the warning light will go off and the DTCs C1259 and C1310 will be cleared.

Tech Tips

These DTCs will be output from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) when the hybrid vehicle control ECU sends a malfunction signal to the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly).

DTC No. Detection Item INF Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area Note
C1259 HV Control System Regenerative Malfunction 1132 A regeneration malfunction signal is input for at least 0.036 seconds when IG2 terminal voltage is 9.5 V or more for at least 2 seconds and communication with the hybrid vehicle control ECU is valid.
  • Hybrid vehicle control ECU

    (Regeneration malfunction)

  • Skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly)

Electronically controlled brake system DTC

Tech Tips

The DTC is cleared when the conditions return to normal.

C1310 HV System Malfunction 1140 When the IG2 terminal voltage is 9.5 V or more for 2 seconds or more and communication with the hybrid vehicle control ECU is possible, an internal malfunction signal is detected for 0.072 seconds or more.
  • Hybrid vehicle control ECU

  • Skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly)

VSC DTC

Tech Tips

The DTC is cleared when the conditions return to normal.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

After replacing the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly), perform linear solenoid valve offset learning, ABS holding solenoid valve learning, yaw rate and acceleration sensor zero point calibration and system information memorization after performing "Reset Memory".
