ELECTRONIC SHIFT LEVER SYSTEM Auxiliary Battery Low Voltage

DESCRIPTION

When the hybrid vehicle control ECU judges that the power source voltage (+B) is low (including when due to a depleted auxiliary battery), a warning message is displayed on the multi-information display.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK AUXILIARY BATTERY


    1. Check the auxiliary battery.

  4. CHECK OPERATION


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. With the brake pedal depressed, select neutral (N).

    3. Push the P position switch (transmission shift main switch).

    4. Check that "Low 12-Volt Battery Apply Parking Brake Securely While Parking See Owner's Manual" is not displayed on the multi-information display.

    5. Turn the power switch off.

    6. Leave the vehicle as is for 60 seconds or more.

      Note


      • Do not connect the GTS.

      • Do not depress brake pedal.

      • Do not open/close any of the doors.

    7. Check that the electronic shift lever system operates correctly.
