  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR EMBLEM


    1. Remove the luggage compartment door cover.

    2. Remove the luggage compartment door lock cylinder assembly.

    3. Remove the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    4. Remove the luggage compartment door outside garnish.

    5. Install the luggage compartment door outside garnish.

      B000ZUW Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the luggage compartment door emblem.

    7. Using an infrared light, heat the luggage compartment door emblem.

      Heating Temperature

      Luggage Compartment Door Emblem

      40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

      3 to 5 minutes


      1. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and luggage compartment door emblem.

    8. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    9. Pull the piano wire and cut the double-sided tape that holds the luggage compartment door emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful of the location pin positions.


      1. Remove the luggage compartment door emblem.

    10. Remove the protective tape.

    11. Install the rear light assembly LH

    12. Install the rear light assembly RH

    13. Install the luggage compartment door outside garnish subassembly.

    14. Install the luggage compartment door lock cylinder assembly.

    15. Install the luggage compartment door cover.

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

      B000ZUW Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the back door name plate.

    2. A01MIK5C05
      *a Heated Part
      *b Infrared Light

      Using an infrared light, heat the back door name plate.

      Heating Temperature

      Back Door Name Plate

      40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

      3 to 5 minutes

      CAUTION:


      • Do not touch the infrared light and heated parts.

      • Touching the infrared light may result in burns.

      • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    3. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and back door name plate.

    4. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    5. Pull the piano wire and cut the double-sided tape that holds the back door name plate to the vehicle body.

    6. Remove the back door name plate.

    7. Remove the protective tape.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE

      Apply protective tape around the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

    2. Using an infrared light, heat the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

      3 to 5 minutes


      1. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and cut the double-sided tape that holds the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate to the vehicle body.


      1. Remove the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

    5. Remove the protective tape.

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE

      Apply protective tape around the No. 3 luggage compartment door name plate.

    2. Using an infrared light, heat the No. 3 luggage compartment door name plate.

      3 to 5 minutes


      1. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 3 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and cut the double-sided tape that holds the No. 3 luggage compartment door name plate to the vehicle body.


      1. Remove the No. 3 luggage compartment door name plate.

    5. Remove the protective tape.

  5. REMOVE SIDE PANEL EMBLEM

      Apply protective tape around the side panel emblem.

    2. Using an infrared light, heat the side panel emblem.

      40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

      3 to 5 minutes


      1. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and side panel emblem.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and cut the double-sided tape that holds the side panel emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful of the location pin positions.


      1. Remove the side panel emblem.

    5. Remove the protective tape.
