DESCRIPTION

The headlight light control ECU sub-assembly controls the headlight leveling motor.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (DRIVE THE LEVELING MOTOR)

   
   

   1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.

2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT RH

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the headlight assembly RH.

   2. Remove the headlight leveling motor RH and headlight light control ECU sub-assembly RH from the headlight assembly RH.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A-3 - B-17 Always Below 1 Ω A-2 - B-8 Always Below 1 Ω A-1 - B-20 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

   
   

   NG

   REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH Click here

3. CHECK HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR RH

   
   

   1. Replace the headlight leveling motor RH with a new or known good one.

      Click here

      Proceed to OK NG

4. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT LH

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the headlight assembly LH.

   2. Remove the headlight leveling motor LH and headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH from the headlight assembly LH.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A-3 - B-17 Always Below 1 Ω A-2 - B-8 Always Below 1 Ω A-1 - B-20 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

5. CHECK HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR LH

   
   

   1. Replace the headlight leveling motor LH with a new or known good one.
