PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the resistance.

        (Adjusting Ring Position)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Front Wiper Switch
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        B-3 (+1) - B-2 (+B1) MIST Below 1 Ω
        B-3 (+1) - B-1 (+S) OFF
        B-3 (+1) - B-1 (+S) AUTO
        B-9 (E) - B-8 (AUTO)
        B-3 (+1) - B-2 (+B1) LO
        B-4 (+2) - B-2 (+B1) HI
        Front Washer Switch
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        A-4 (EW) - A-7 (WF) ON Below 1 Ω
        OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        Adjusting Ring
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        B-7 (VR1) - B-6 (VR2) P1 209 to 231 Ω
        P2 114 to 126 Ω
        P3 58.9 to 65.1 Ω
        P4 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.
