POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM Power Mirror cannot be Adjusted with Power Mirror Switch

DESCRIPTION

When the outer mirror switch assembly mirror select switch is operated, right/left selection signals are sent to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends the received right/left selection signals to the outer mirror control ECU assemblies via CAN communication.

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

      		 Check with the mirror select switch L or R switch on

  2. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (MIRROR RETRACT SWITCH)


    1. Remove the outer mirror switch assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU])


    1. Disconnect the G7 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the N1 outer mirror switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N1-13 (M+) - G7-4 (MIRB) Always Below 1 Ω
      N1-15 (MSW) - G7-5 (MIRS) Always Below 1 Ω
      N1-16 (E) - G7-6 (MIRE) Always Below 1 Ω
      N1-13 (M+) or G7-4 (MIRB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N1-15 (MSW) or G7-5 (MIRS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N1-16 (E) or G7-6 (MIRE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
