Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH side.
The procedure described below is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP
REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH
REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY
REMOVE UPPER QUARTER WINDOW MOULDING
REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY
Note
The quarter window assembly may fall while performing this procedure. Therefore, use suction cups to hold the quarter window assembly from the outside of the vehicle.

Protective Tape |
Apply protective tape to the area around the installation position of the quarter window assembly on the vehicle body to prevent it from being scratched.

Using a knife, cut off the quarter window outside moulding as shown in the illustration.
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body and quarter window assembly with the knife.
If there are any scratches on the body panels, perform rustproofing treatment after removing the quarter window assembly.
Install the suction cups to the quarter glass.

Protective Tape |
Pass a piano wire between the vehicle body and quarter glass from the interior.
Tie both wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects that can serve as handles.
Cut off the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the quarter window assembly.

Using suction cups, disengage the clips to remove the quarter window assembly.
Note
Make sure that the back door glass does not fall.
