WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the G43 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      G43-21 (B) - Body ground GR - Body ground Power source (+B) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      G43-1 (IG+) - Body ground B - Body ground Power source (IG) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Power switch off Below 1 V
      G43-14 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Reconnect the G43 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      G43-12 (CANL)*1 W - - -
      G43-38 (RDFG) - Body ground B - Body ground Rear defogger signal Power switch on (IG), rear window defogger switch off 11 to 14 V

      • *1: Refer to FAIL-SAFE CHART for CAN communication system (for LHD or for RHD).

  2. CHECK INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the G49 integration control and panel assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      G49-1 (+B) - G49-16 (GND) LG - W-B Power source (+B) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      G49-9 (IG+) - G49-16 (GND) P - W-B Power source (IG) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      G49-16 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Reconnect the G49 integration control and panel assembly connector.

    4. Check waveform according to the table below.
