DESCRIPTION

The air conditioning amplifier assembly uses the target blower temperature to calculate the target water temperature, and performs control of the heater water pump with motor assembly based on the water temperature sensor value.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

DTC B14C7 may be output when the self-protection function of the electric water pump activates and stops the pump due to foreign matter jamming the pump or air in the coolant passages causing the pump to run dry.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Active Test.

    4. Check the operation by referring to the table below.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEATER WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY - POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

      Disconnect the heater water pump with motor assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A22-1 (VV-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the A22 heater water pump with motor assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G43 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A22-3 (SWP) - G43-23 (WP) Always Below 1 Ω
      A22-2 (NWP) - G43-24 (WIP) Always Below 1 Ω
      A22-3 (SWP) or G43-23 (WP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A22-2 (NWP) or G43-24 (WIP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HEATER WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the heater water pump with motor assembly with a new or known good one.
