SEAT HEATER SYSTEM Seat Heater for Front Right Seat does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The integration control and panel assembly (seat heater switch (passenger seat)) sends operation signals to the air conditioner amplifier assembly via CAN communication. The air conditioner amplifier assembly operates the seat heater (passenger seat) based on the received signals.

  • When the auxiliary battery is disconnected, or the servo motor or air conditioning amplifier assembly is replaced, be sure to perform servo motor initialization.

  1. CHECK HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONER OPERATION


    1. Check air conditioning system operation.

      OK
      Air conditioning system is normal.

  2. INSPECT S/HTR HI RH RELAY AND HEATER RELAY NO. 1

      1. Remove the S/HTR HI RH relay from the No. 3 relay box.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      1. Disconnect the G43 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        G43-17 (SHD+) - Body ground Always 10 KΩ or higher

      1. Disconnect the G43 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      1. Disconnect the Z7 front seat cushion pad with cover RH connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        S/HTR HI RH relay holder (3) - Z7-2 Always Below 1 Ω
        S/HTR HI RH relay holder (3) - Body ground Always 10 KΩ or higher

    2. Heater relay No. 1


      1. Disconnect the Z7 front seat cushion pad with cover RH connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Heater relay No. 1 holder (3) - Z7-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        Heater relay No. 1 holder (3) - Body ground Always 10 KΩ or higher
