  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT SEAT MEMORY SWITCH

      Component without harness connected

      (Seat Memory Switch)

      Check the resistance.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        4 (M1) - 2 (E) 1 switch pressed Below 1 Ω
        1 switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
        3 (M2) - 2 (E) 2 switch pressed Below 1 Ω
        2 switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
        8 (MRY) - 2 (E) SET switch pressed Below 1 Ω
        SET switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the seat memory switch.

    2. Check that the switch illumination comes on.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the seat memory switch and check that the switch illumination comes on.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 5

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 7

        		 Switch illumination comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the seat memory switch.
