  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the driver and front passenger sides.

  • The procedure described below is for the driver side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION CARPET


    1. A01MGNR

      Engage the J hook to install the front seat cushion carpet.

      *a Terminal Portion
      *b Notch Portion
      B006JFV Install in this Direction

      Rotate in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, roll up the front seat cushion carpet and fasten it with the hook and loop fastener.

      Tech Tips

      Install so that the terminal portion goes over the notch portion.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY

      B006JHL Install in this Direction (2)

      Push in from the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration to engage the hooks.

    2. While rotating in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration, engage the hooks to install the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly.

  3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 SEATBACK HOOK


    1. Install the 2 front No. 1 seatback hooks to the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

  4. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration to engage the guides.

    2. Push in the direction indicated by the arrows (2) in the illustration to engage the clips to install the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

      Engage the guides and claw to install the front seatback edge protector.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for both sides.

  5. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. A01MJT5

      Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

      B006JFV Install in this Direction

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, engage the guide to install the seat reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

      B006JHL Install in this Direction (2)

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration to engage the guide.

    2. While rotating in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration, engage the claw to install the front seat cushion edge protector.

    3. Install the screw.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

      Insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration, push in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration, engage the clip to install the front lower seat cushion shield RH.

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to engage the guide.

    3. Install the screw.

  10. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration, push in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration, engage the clip to install the front lower seat cushion shield LH.

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to engage the guide.

    3. Install the clip.

  11. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration to engage the guide.

    2. Push down in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration, engage the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  12. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SEAT WIRE

      Engage the clamps to install the front No. 2 seat wire.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK WITH COVER PAD

      Install front seatback protector.

    2. for New Component:


      1. For the front seatback protector of the front seat airbag assembly, cut off the portions of the front seatback protector indicated by the cutoff lines.

      Push in installation direction (1) shown in the illustration to temporarily install the front seatback with cover pad.

    4. Push in the rear end of the front seatback with cover pad in the installation direction (2) shown in the illustration.

    5. A01MJVR

      Install the front seatback cover brackets with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • When installing the bracket, check that the band is not twisted.

      • Install the bracket so that it encloses the front seat airbag assembly.

      • If the bracket is not securely installed, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy correctly.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

      Engage the protrusion of the front seat headrest support with the groove in the installation portion of the front seatback assembly.

    2. Push in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration, engage the claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

      Engage the J hooks while rotating in the direction shown by the arrows in the illustration to connect the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

    4. A01MITB

      Connect the wire harness to the guide.

  16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, engage the guides to install the front seat back board sub-assembly.

      Install the 2 screws.

  17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR

      B000ZUW Double-Sided Tape

      Engage the guides, apply the double-sided tape to install the front seat cushion edge protector.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD

      Engage the hooks to install the front seat cushion with cover pad.

      1. Engage the clamp to connect the connector.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE


    1. A01MG94

      Engage the clamps to install the front seat wire.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

    3. A01MG59

      Engage the clamps to connect the front seat wire to the front seat airbag wire.

    4. A01MGDT

      Engage the clamps to connect the front seat airbag wire.

    5. A01MITR

      Engage the clamp.

    6. Connect the connector.

  21. CONNECT FRONT SEAT BACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01MFUZ

      Engage the clamps.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

    3. A01MFWL

      Connect the rubber band of the front seat back board sub-assembly.

  22. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

      While rotating in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration, engage the guides and claws.

    2. Push in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration, engage the guides and claws to install the front inner seat cushion shield.

    2. Position Driver Side:

        Connect the 2 connectors.

    3. Position Front Passenger Side:


      1. Connect the connector.

    4. Engage the claws to close the wire harness cover.

      Engage the clamps.

    9. Push in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) in the illustration, engage the guides and clip to install the front seat cushion shield.

  26. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, engage the claws to install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  27. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  28. INSTALL FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration to engage the guides and clip.

    2. Push in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration, engage the claw to install the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield.

    3. Install the screw.

  29. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LEG COVER

  30. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

      Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.
