Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the driver and front passenger sides.

  • The procedure described below is for the driver side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01MI1Z

      As shown in the illustration, move the front seat assembly into the vehicle.

      Note


      • 2 or more people are required when reinstalling the front seat assembly in to the vehicle.

      • Protect the front seat leg.

      • Be careful not to damage the front seat assembly, body exterior or body interior.

    2. Tilt the front seat assembly toward the rear.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the front seat assembly or body interior.

    3. Engage the clamps.

    4. Connect the connectors.

    5. Connect the front seat airbag assembly connector.

    6. Connect the front seat cushion airbag assembly connector. (for Front Passenger Side)

    7. Align the adjuster pin of the front seat assembly with the hole in the body.

    8. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    9. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    10. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to set the seat slide position of the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

      In the order shown in the illustration, tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    12. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to set the seat slide position of the front seat assembly to the frontmost position.

      In the order shown in the illustration, tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

      B006JFV Install in this Direction

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, engage the claws and clip to install the inner seat track bracket cover.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR OUTER TRACK COVER

      *a Heater Duct
      *b Front Seat Track Cover RH Rear Outer
      B006JFV Install in this Direction

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, insert the front seat rear outer track cover into the heater duct, engage the guides and clip to install the front seat rear outer track cover.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER


    1. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to set the seat slide position of the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

      B006JHL Install in this Direction (2)

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration to engage the claws.

    3. Push in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration, engage the claws to install the front seat inner track bracket cover.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat headrest assembly.

  6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  8. INSPECT SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT
