FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the slide motor.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH (Slide Motor))

         Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the slide motor connector, and check that the front seat adjuster assembly LH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Forward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

   2. Check the operation of the front vertical motor.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH (Front Vertical Motor))

         Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the front vertical motor connector, and check that the front seat adjuster assembly LH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Upward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

   3. Check the operation of the rear lifter motor.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH (Rear Lifter Motor))

         Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear lifter motor connector, and check that the front seat adjuster assembly LH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Upward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the slide motor.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly RH (Slide Motor))

         Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the slide motor connector, and check that the front seat adjuster assembly RH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Forward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly RH.

   2. Check the operation of the front vertical motor.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected Front Seat Adjuster Assembly RH (Front Vertical Motor))

         Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the front vertical motor connector, and check that the front seat adjuster assembly RH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Upward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly RH.

   3. Check the operation of the rear lifter motor.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected Front Seat Adjuster Assembly RH (Rear Lifter Motor))

         Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear lifter motor connector, and check that the front seat adjuster assembly RH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Upward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly RH.

3. INSPECT FRONT SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the reclining motor.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Front Seatback Frame Sub-assembly LH (Reclining Motor))

         Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the reclining motor connector, and check that the front seat adjuster assembly RH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Forward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

4. INSPECT FRONT SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the reclining motor.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Front Seatback Frame Sub-assembly RH (Reclining Motor))

         Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the reclining motor connector, and check that the front seat adjuster assembly RH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Forward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly RH.
