CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Check that the power switch is off.

   2. Check that the cable is disconnected the cable from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      
      

      • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

   3. Clean any remaining adhesive from the bolt holes for the curtain shield airbag assembly in the vehicle body.

   4. Install the clips and set the curtain shield airbag assembly.

   5. Insert the pin and engage the clip to install the curtain shield airbag assembly.

      

   6. Install 12 new bolts.

      Torque:

      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

   7. 

      *1	Locking Button

      Connect the airbag connector.

   8. Push in the locking button to the curtain shield airbag assembly.

      Note

      Securely lock the locking button.

2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

   
   

   1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

4. INSTALL LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

   Tech Tips

   Perform an on-vehicle inspection of the FC stack assembly only if the vehicle has been subjected to a strong impact.
