DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives a text data signal from the radio and display receiver assembly via local bus communication.

Based on this signal, audio and visual system or navigation system information is displayed on the multi-information display.

This DTC is stored when the combination meter assembly cannot receive the signal.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTCs are not output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the C13 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G106 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C13-34 (MSCH) - G106-3 (CNH) Always Below 1 Ω
      C13-33 (MSCL) - G106-4 (CNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      C13-34 (MSCH) or G106-3 (CNH1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C13-33 (MSCL) or G106-4 (CNL1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly.

      Click here

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 30 seconds.

      Note

      A maximum of 30 seconds is required to send/receive the registration information between the combination meter assembly and radio receiver assembly.

      Operate the steering pad switch assembly and check that the audio tab illuminates.

    4. Check for DTCs.
