LIGHTING SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM


    1. The illuminated entry system has the following control functions:

      Control Outline Lights that Operate
      Actuation Area-linked When a registered key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area around the doors, the items listed to the right turn on.
      • Map Light Assembly (Dome Light)

      • Power Switch Illumination

      Door Lock/Unlock-linked When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on.
      • Map Light Assembly (Dome Light)

      • Power Switch Illumination

      • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly LH

      • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly RH

      When all doors are locked, the lights that operate turn off.
      Door Open/Close-linked When any door is opened, the lights that operate turn on.
      • Map Light Assembly (Dome Light)

      • Power Switch Illumination

      • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly LH

      • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly RH

      When all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off.
      Power Switch-linked When the power switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off, the lights that operate turn on.
      • Map Light Assembly (Dome Light)

      • Map Light Assembly (Center Console Illumination Light)

      • Power Switch Illumination

      • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly LH

      • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly RH

      When the power switch is turned from off to on (ACC or IG), the lights that operate turn on.
      Delay

      When approximately 15 seconds elapse after any of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off:


      • An actuation area-linked function is used.

      • The door unlock-linked function is active.

      • Any door is opened and then all doors are closed when the power switch is off.

      Battery Saving

      When 20 minutes elapse after the power switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

      Tech Tips

      Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.


      • The power switch is turned on (ACC or IG).

      • Any door is opened and closed.

      • The luggage compartment door is opened and closed.

      • Any door is unlocked.

      • The key enters any exterior actuation area.

      • *: If the power switch is turned off after the shift position-linked control function has operated, the light will return to full brightness and then turn off.
