  1. INSPECT HOOD COURTESY SWITCH (HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY)

      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Hood Courtesy Switch (Hood Lock Assembly))
      *b LOCK
      *c UNLOCK

      Check the resistance.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 Locked Below 1 Ω
        1 - 2 Unlocked 10 kΩ or higher

        • If the result is not as specified, replace the hood courtesy switch.
