THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM Theft Deterrent System cannot be Set or Unset

DESCRIPTION

When the power switch is turned off and all doors, luggage compartment door, the hood are closed, the theft deterrent system is set when doors are locked by wireless operation or entry operation. If all doors are closed but the luggage compartment door or hood is open when doors are locked by wireless operation or the entry operation, the theft deterrent system will be set when the luggage compartment door or hood is closed. Also, when the power switch is turned on (IG) and the hybrid control system is start, or when the doors are unlocked by key link operation, wireless operation or entry operation, the theft deterrent system is unset.

  1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION


    1. Check the power door lock control operation using the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (IMMOBILISER INDICATOR)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry&Start / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the A37 hood lock assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G6 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
