PERSONAL LIGHT INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01MGJEC05
      *1 DOOR
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Map Light Assembly)

      Check the map light.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check that the map light comes on.

        OK
        Auxiliary Battery Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → A-11 (+B1)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → B-20 (GND9)

        		 Front map light switch LH on Front map light LH comes on
        Front map light switch LH off Front map light LH does not comes on
        Front map light switch RH on Front map light RH comes on
        Front map light switch RH off Front map light RH does not comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the map light bulb or map light assembly.

    2. Check the dome light.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check that the dome light comes on.

        OK
        Auxiliary Battery Connection Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → A-3 (CTY)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → B-20 (GND9)

        		 Dome light comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the map light bulb or map light assembly.

    3. Check the center console illumination light.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check that the center console illumination light comes on.

        OK
        Auxiliary Battery Connection Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → A-11 (+B1)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → B-2 (SHFT)

        		 Center console illumination light comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly.

    4. Check the resistance


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        B-7 (DOOR) - A-16 (GND) Door switch on Below 1 Ω
        Door switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        B-8 (CILL) - A-16 (GND) Dome light switch on Below 1 Ω
        Dome light switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        A-11 (+B1) - B-20 (GND9) Map light switch LH on Below 1 Ω
        Map light switch LH off 10 kΩ or higher
        Map light switch RH on Below 1 Ω
        Map light switch RH off 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly.
