FRONT DOOR LOCK INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD)


    1. A01MIKKC07
      *a Component without harness connected (Front Door with Motor Lock Assembly LH)
      *b Lock
      *c Unlock

      Check the door lock motor operation.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the motor connector and check the operation of the door lock motor.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 4 (L)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 3 (UL)

        Lock

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 3 (UL)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 4 (L)

        Unlock

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 9 (L)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 10 (UL)

        Set

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 10 (UL)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 9 (L)

        Unset

        Tech Tips


        • Move the door lock motor to the lock position and set the double locking system. Check that the doors cannot be unlocked by operating the control cable.

        • Move the door lock motor to the lock position and unset the double locking system. Check that the doors can be unlocked by operating the control cable.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door with motor lock assembly LH.

    2. Check the operation of the door unlock detection switch and double lock position switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        8 (LSSR) - 7 (E) Lock 10 kΩ or higher
        8 (LSSR) - 7 (E) Unlock Below 1 Ω
        9 (L) - 10 (UL) Unset 10 kΩ or higher
        9 (L) - 10 (UL) Set Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door with motor lock assembly LH.

    3. A01MHGCC03
      *a Component without harness connected (Front Door with Motor Lock Assembly LH)
      *b Lock
      *c Off
      *d Unlock

      Check the resistance of the lock and unlock switch (for LHD).


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        9 (L) - 7 (E) Held to lock side Below 1 Ω
        9 (L) - 7 (E) Neutral or held to unlock side 10 kΩ or higher
        10 (UL) - 7 (E) Held to unlock side Below 1 Ω
        10 (UL) - 7 (E) Neutral or held to lock side 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door with motor lock assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (for LHD)


    1. A01MIZAC01
      *a Component without harness connected (Front Door Lock with Motor Assembly RH)
      *b Lock
      *c Unlock

      Check the operation of the door lock motor.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the motor connector and check the operation of the door lock motor.

        OK
        Battery Connection Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 4 (L)

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 4 (L)

        Locks

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 1 (UL)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 4 (L)

        Unlocks

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door lock with motor assembly RH.

    2. Check the operation of the door unlock detection switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        7 (LSSR) - 8 (E) Locked 10 kΩ or higher
        7 (LSSR) - 8 (E) Unlocked Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door lock with motor assembly RH.

  3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (for RHD)


    1. A01MIKKC06
      *a Component without harness connected (Front Door with Motor Lock Assembly LH)
      *b Lock
      *c Unlock

      Check the operation of the door lock motor.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the motor connector and check the operation of the door lock motor.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 4 (L)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 1 (UL)

        Lock

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 1 (UL)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 4 (L)

        Unlock

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door with motor lock assembly LH.

    2. Check the operation of the door unlock detection switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        8 (LSSR) - 7 (E) Lock 10 kΩ or higher
        8 (LSSR) - 7 (E) Unlock Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door with motor lock assembly LH.

  4. INSPECT FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (for RHD)

      *a Component without harness connected (Front Door with Motor Lock Assembly RH)
      *b Lock
      *c Unlock

      Check the door lock motor operation.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the motor connector and check the operation of the door lock motor.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 4 (L)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 1 (UL)

        Lock

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 1 (UL)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 4 (L)

        Unlock

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 6 (L)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 5 (UL)

        Set

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 5 (UL)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 6 (L)

        Unset

      Check the resistance of the lock and unlock switch (for RHD).


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        6 (L) - 8 (E) Held to lock side Below 1 Ω
        6 (L) - 8 (E) Neutral or held to unlock side 10 kΩ or higher
        5 (UL) - 8 (E) Held to unlock side Below 1 Ω
        5 (UL) - 8 (E) Neutral or held to lock side 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door lock assembly RH.
