DESCRIPTION

The certification ECU intermittently monitors the LIN communication bus between the components related to certification. DTC B2785 is stored when a malfunction in the LIN communication bus between the components related to certification is detected 3 times consecutively.

Note


  • When using the GTS with the power switch off to troubleshoot:

  • Connect the GTS to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.

  • If the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), ID code box (Immobiliser Code ECU) or transmission control ECU assembly is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) - EACH ECU)


    1. Disconnect the G41 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the G15 ID code box (immobiliser code ECU) connector.

    3. Disconnect the A26 transmission control ECU assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G41-6 (LIN) - G15-2 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      G41-6 (LIN) - A26-24 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      G41-6 (LIN) or G15-2(LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G15-2 (LIN1) or A26-24(LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. REPLACE TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporally replace the transmission control ECU assembly with a new or normally.
