ULTRASONIC SENSOR(for Rear Side) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR


    1. Disengage the clamps and disconnect the 4 connectors.

      B006JFV Remove in this Direction

      Disengage the claws to remove the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for both sides.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER

    Use the same procedure for both sides.


    1. Using an infrared light, warm the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

      CAUTION:

      *a Heated Portions
      *b Infrared Light

      • Do not touch the infrared light or the heated portions of the components.

      • Toughing the infrared light could result in burns.

      • Touching the heated portions of the components and remaining in contact for a long time could result in burns.

      Tech Tips

      40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) in 3 to 5 minutes

    2. A01MIHH

      Remove the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

  4. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP

      *a Protective Tape
      B006JEG Disengage in this Direction
      B006JFV Remove in this Direction

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw to remove the ultrasonic sensor clip.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for both sides.
