DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator LH.

    Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor main switch (combination switch assembly) is on.


  • The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator.

  • Outer rear view mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator LH)

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly LH

  • Harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor LH

  • Outer mirror control ECU assembly LH

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (combination switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Clear DTCs

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC C1AB5 is not output.
      Result
      Proceed to

      NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the P31 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the L10 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P31-4 (OMIL) - L10-13 (BDSL) Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Result
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH.

    2. Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L10-13 (BDSL) - z11-8 (BSM+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-7 (GND) - z11-12 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disconnect the z11 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the IND2 outer rear view mirror LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z11-8 (BSL+) - IND2-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      z11-12 (-) - IND2-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Proceed to

  5. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      Click here

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Clear DTCs

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC C1AB5 is not output.
