PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Voice switch being operated 2955 to 3265 Ω
      A3 (+DP2) - A8 (EAU) No switch being operated 95 to 105 kΩ
      Left switch being operated Below 2.5 Ω
      Up switch being operated 313 to 345 Ω
      Down switch being operated 950 to 1050 Ω
      Right switch being operated 2955 to 3265 Ω
      A2 (+DP) - A8 (EAU) No switch being operated 95 to 105 kΩ

      If the result is not as specified, replace the steering pad switch assembly.

    2. Check the illumination.


      1. Connect the auxiliary battery positive (+) lead to terminal A5 (IL+2) and the negative (-) lead to terminal A8 (EAU) of the steering pad switch assembly connector.

      2. Check that the switch illumination illuminates.

        OK
        The steering pad switch illumination illuminates.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the steering pad switch assembly.
