PARKING BRAKE PEDAL(for RHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

  2. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the parking brake control pedal assembly to the body with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      14.5 N*m  { 148 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the parking brake switch connector.

    3. Engage the clamp.

      Install the lock nut, and temporarily install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly so that its protruding amount is as specified.

      Standard
      2.0 to 5.0 mm (0.0787 to 0.197 in.)

      Tech Tips

      After adjusting parking brake pedal travel, tighten the lock nut.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the body with the bolt.

      Torque:
      14.5 N*m  { 148 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer sub-assembly with the lock nut and No. 2 wire adjusting nut.

    3. Using a wrench, hold the No. 2 wire adjusting nut and tighten the lock nut.

      Torque:
      14.5 N*m  { 148 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

    4. Install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the cable support bracket with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      14.5 N*m  { 148 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the No. 2 air duct sub-assembly.

      Note

      If the No. 2 air duct sub-assembly is reused, it may fall off or abnormal noise may occur. Therefore, make sure to replace with a new one.

  5. INSTALL REAR BLOWER MOTOR

  6. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL

  7. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY

  8. INSPECT BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
